Klozet marketplace policies

These terms apply to the Klozet mobile marketplace and its related payment, seller payout and support services. Klozet is owned and operated by Plum Software Hub in South Africa.

1. Marketplace terms

1.1 The service

Klozet is a technology marketplace through which independent users can list, discover, buy and sell fashion items. Plum Software Hub operates the Klozet platform, payment workflow and support systems. Unless a listing expressly says otherwise, Plum is not the seller or owner of a listed item and does not manufacture or inspect it.

1.2 Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate, current account information. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access credentials secure. Klozet may request identity, contact, address or bank information when reasonably needed to prevent fraud, resolve a dispute or enable seller withdrawals.

1.3 Seller responsibilities

Sellers must own or be authorised to sell every listed item. Listing photos and descriptions must accurately show its identity, condition, defects, authenticity and price. Counterfeit, stolen, illegal, dangerous or rights-infringing items are prohibited. Sellers must complete agreed handovers and cooperate with support enquiries.

1.4 Buyer responsibilities

Buyers must review the listing, price, disclosed condition and order total before paying. Buyers must use the app's order and payment flow, attend an agreed handover, inspect the item when practical and report a material issue promptly through Klozet support.

1.5 Safety and off-platform activity

Users should arrange handovers in safe public places and avoid sharing unnecessary private information. Payments or arrangements made outside Klozet cannot be verified through our transaction records and may not qualify for Klozet's dispute process.

1.6 Moderation

Klozet may remove listings, restrict features, suspend accounts or retain relevant records where reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect users, investigate suspected fraud, comply with law or respond to a payment dispute. Where appropriate, we will explain the action and provide a support channel.

1.7 Availability and liability

We work to provide a secure and reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted availability or guarantee the conduct of independent users. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law, including applicable consumer and data-protection rights.

2. Payment and payout terms

Paystack processes buyer payments and approved seller transfers for Klozet. The checkout shows the order amount and any applicable buyer service charge before confirmation. Klozet verifies transaction status with Paystack on its server; a payment screen or bank message alone does not constitute Klozet confirmation.

Klozet records seller proceeds against the relevant order and keeps them separate in its ledger from Plum's earned service revenue. Seller proceeds may remain pending while an order awaits handover, verification, refund review, chargeback or dispute resolution. When eligible, proceeds move to the seller's available Klozet balance.

Seller withdrawals are manual and require an approved Klozet payout profile and verified South African bank account. Klozet may apply a disclosed minimum withdrawal amount or combine small earnings into a later withdrawal. Any applicable withdrawal condition or charge is shown before the seller confirms the request. Processing time depends on verification, Paystack and the receiving bank.

More detail is available on the payments and seller payouts page.

3. Refunds and disputes

A buyer should report a materially misdescribed, counterfeit, unavailable, damaged or undelivered item through Klozet as soon as reasonably possible and provide requested order details, messages, photographs or other evidence. Klozet may temporarily pause the related seller proceeds while reviewing the matter.

Depending on the facts and applicable law, Klozet may facilitate completion of the order, return of the item, a full or partial refund, release of seller proceeds, or another fair resolution. Approved refunds are returned through the original payment route where possible; bank and payment-network processing times can vary.

A change of mind does not automatically require an independent seller to accept a return unless the seller agreed to it or South African law requires it. This policy never limits non-excludable consumer rights. Transactions completed outside Klozet are not covered by Klozet's payment records or seller-balance protection.

4. Privacy notice

4.1 Responsible operator

Plum Software Hub operates Klozet and is responsible for processing personal information used to provide the marketplace. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to hello@plumsoftwarehub.co.za.

4.2 Information we process

Depending on how you use Klozet, we process account and contact data, profile and listing content, order and payment references, messages, support records, device and security data, and seller verification and bank-account details. Klozet does not store complete card details.

4.3 Why we use it

We use personal information to create and secure accounts, display listings, fulfil orders, verify payments, maintain balances, process withdrawals, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, provide support, maintain legal and financial records, improve the service and comply with applicable obligations.

4.4 Sharing and service providers

We share only what is reasonably necessary with service providers supporting payments, bank-account verification, hosting, storage, communications, security and support. Paystack processes payment and payout information under its own privacy and security obligations. We may also disclose information where lawfully required or necessary to protect users and investigate misuse.

4.5 Retention and security

We retain records only for as long as reasonably necessary for the service, financial reconciliation, fraud prevention, disputes and legal obligations. We use access controls, encryption where appropriate, restricted administrative access and transaction audit records. No online system can promise absolute security.

4.6 Your choices and rights

You may ask to access or correct your personal information, object to certain processing, or request deletion where retention is no longer required. Some order, payout and compliance records must be retained even after account closure. You may also raise a concern with South Africa's Information Regulator.

4.7 This website

This public information site does not provide checkout or account login and does not intentionally use advertising cookies. Standard hosting security logs may record limited technical information such as IP address, browser type and request time.

5. Changes and governing law

We may update these policies when the marketplace, payment flow or law changes. Material changes will be communicated in the app or on this page and the effective date will be updated. These policies are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
